National Framework Agreement for the Supply and Support of Sterile Disposable Drapes-Packs
Single Drapes.
To include Adult, Paediatric and Neo-natal. Widely used in hospital theatres, day theatres and minor surgeries performed in small clinics or Primary Care Centres. They guarantee effective protection to the patient and to the medical staff, e.g. Back Table Cover, Mayo Stand Cover, Side Drape etc.
Drape Packs.
To include Adult, Paediatric and Neo-natal. Widely used in hospital theatres, day theatres and minor surgeries performed in small clinics or Primary Care Centres. They guarantee effective protection to the patient and to the medical staff, consisting of a combination of drapes for a procedure.
Minor Procedure Packs.
To include Adult, Paediatric and Neo-natal. There are standard procedures that are performed in several hospital areas including Primary Care, which require a considerable number of items which have to be sterile ready to use, e.g. wound cleaning, suture application/removal, patient preparation for surgery, Catheterisation etc.
Standard Packs.
To include Adult, Paediatric and Neo-natal. The majority of surgical procedures are performed with the same techniques, using the same products. It is therefore possible to standardise the products and materials to be used in a specific procedure e.g. Caesarean section, Hip, Knee etc. We will specify at mini-tender stage the selection of sterile surgical Packs (trays), which will offer the widest possible number of basic articles, essential to perform that procedure.
