Main mechanical contract, Tarbert no 4 scheduled outage 2011

Endesa Ireland wishes to invite expressions of interest for the main mechanical engineering contract to be completed during the revision of steam turbine generator, Tarbert no 4 located at Tarbert Generating Station, Tarbert, Co. Kerry, Ireland. This includes mechanical works on the steam generator, high energy pipework and the balance of plant.
Tarbert G4 is a 250 MW electrical output fossil fired steam turbo-generator employing a Benson type once through boiler. Commissioned in 1977 with 164018 run hours at the end of December 2010. Start-ups at this date amounted to 1459. The cycle operates at 165 bar 540 deg C with steam reheating to 35 bar 540 deg C.
This contract is anticipated to take place during the latter half of 2011 though outage dates have not been agreed yet it is anticipated to take place during September. The outage period will be 21 days.
