The client, Kilkenny Borough Council, requires a Consultant Architect to lead a Design Team for the detailed design and substantial renovation of St Mary's Hall, St Mary's Lane, Kilkenny.
This project requires an Architect-led design team to provide the following services: Lead Architecture including project management, Conservation Architecture, Archaeology, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, and Quantity Surveying Services for both the design and construction phases.
St Maryโ€™s Hall and grounds is a listed National Monument dating from the 13th century.
It is now the objective of the Council to undertake major renovation works to the old Church building and to convert it from its existing semi vacant use into an attraction of national importance which at the same time would host a functioning information centre for tourists visiting the medieval city.
The definitive scope of the Design Team Services required will be set out in the Invitation to Tender documents, which will be forwarded to the successful parties who qualify from this stage of the procurement process.
