Laboratory screening services for screening OC-Sensor (FIT) kits using OC-Sensor Diana test analyser

Health Service Executive

In pursuance of its statutory functions the National Cancer Screening Service (NCSS) wishes to invite tenders from suitably qualified laboratory service provider/s who wish to participate in a competition for the appointment to a multi vendor framework agreement as part of the National Colorectal Screening Programme.
The multi vendor framework agreement will be for four (4) years with the initial contract of 2 years duration for the provision of laboratory screening services for the screening of OC-Sensor Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) Kits using OC-Sensor Diana test analyser.
The initial contract will be awarded to one or more laboratory service provider/s.
Note: For the purpose of this tender the OC-Sensor Faecal Immunochemical Test Kit operating on the OC-Sensor Diana test analyser will be chosen in the delivery of this service contract.
The successful laboratory service provider/s are required to demonstrate that they have the ability to process a minimum of 200 000 test samples per annum in the delivery of this contract. The NCSS does not guarantee that any minimum volume of product or service will be procured as a result of this tender.
Furthermore laboratory service provider/s must be capable of providing an electronic report detailing evidence of the receipt of test samples as well as the analysis and reporting of all test samples to the NCSS within 3 working days of receipt of test samples within the Republic of Ireland.

Other particular conditions:
Testing will take place in a clinical laboratory setting which is accredited to ISO15189 (medical laboratories: particular requirements to for quality and competence) for the past 2 years. Successful laboratory provider/s must be accredited to ISO15189 standard for the full term of the contract. The service must be lead for the duration of the contract by suitably qualified clinical scientist/s or chemical pathologist/s (will typically have MRCPath /FRCPath).
