These instructions to tenderers, scope of supplies and conditions of tender are for the bulk supply and delivery of chemicals, used for treatment of water and wastewater, to the various participating local authorities of the Western Local Authorities procurement network (WLAPN). The WLAPN comprises of Galway City Council, Galway County Council, Leitrim County Council, Mayo County Council, Roscommon County Council, and Sligo County Council. Mayo County Council is taking the lead in the handling of this invitation to tender.
The advantage of the WLAPN to suppliers is that they can win the business of six local authorities by submitting only one tender. The six Local Authorities purchase large volumes of chemicals as outlined in the spreadsheets attached. The contract for the supply of each chemical will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tenderer in each case. The successful tenderer for a chemical will be awarded the contract for the supply of that chemical to all 6 local authorities.
