Individual expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified consultants (Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Building Services (M&E) Engineers and Civil/Structural Engineers) who wish to be considered for inclusion on a design team to oversee a building development project for St Paul's National School, Abbeylands, Navan, County Meath.
The Client for this project is the School Board of Management.
The project entails the construction of a new 32-classroom Primary school on the existing school site, to include a Special Needs Unit and associated ancillary accommodation and external works. Demolition and removal of all existing accommodation on site will also form part of the project brief. The total new build area will be approximately 5 000 m2.

The services to be provided are set out in the DoES Standard Schedule of Services for Construction Consultants Rev 1 (available at www.education.ie, under Technical Guidance) and the Project Specific Information (available at www.education.ie, under School Planning/Building). Before submitting an expression of interest, applicants should refer to the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire DoES-QC1 (Short) and Consultants Pre-qualification Assessment Excel Spreadsheet attached to eTenders advertisement at www.etenders.gov.ie and satisfy themselves that they meet the minimum standards required. The successful applicant will be required to produce the necessary evidence before appointment. To apply for inclusion on the short-list for the above project the Applicant must: (1) complete and sign the questionnaire; (2) complete the Consultants Pre-qualification Assessment Excel Spreadsheet; and (3) send in the questionnaire and a printed copy of the spreadsheet to the Contracting Authority with a stamped self-addressed A4 envelope. Before the time and date specified. No other information should be provided. Note: The envelope must be clearly marked with the name of the Tenderer, the name of the Contract, and the content for example "Tender of ABC Limited for xxx Services for ABC...Project. The project category is type 3. The estimated total performance period is 48 months. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to terminate the Tender competition process at any time. The Contracting Authority also reserves the right to procure the development by alternative means if it appears that the development can be thereby more advantageously procured. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. The funding agency, the Department of Education & Skills is subject to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act. If a candidate considers that any of the information supplied in response to this notice is either commercially sensitive or confidential, this should be highlighted and reasons for its sensitivity given. The relevant material will, in response to a request under the Act, be examined in the light of exemptions provided for in the Act.
