Iarnród Éireann – market research programme
Iarnród Éireann provides passenger and freight rail services within the Republic of Ireland.
Intercity rail passenger services operate between Dublin and Sligo, Ballina, Westport, Galway, Limerick, Ennis, Tralee, Cork, Waterford and Rosslare Europort.
Regional services include the new Limerick to Galway line, Cork commuter network including the new Cork-Middleton line, and Limerick to Waterford services.
In addition to the DART service, a local commuter service which operates in the Dublin area, between Greystones and Howth/Malahide, it also provides additional commuter services in the Greater Dublin Area between Gorey, Drogheda, Maynooth, the newly opened Dunboyne (M3) line, as well as the commuter service to Kildare.
Each year Iarnród Éireann conducts extensive research, both quantitative and qualitative, into all aspects of our passenger services.
The 3 main areas of research are:
1. Customer satisfaction surveys;
2. Focus groups;
3. Mystery shops.
