This request for Expressions Of Interest is issued by the Department of Defence on behalf of the Department and the Irish Defence Forces. The DOD/DF wished to upgrade its computing hardware infrastructure.
Applications running on these systems are Oracle-based and are deemed by DOD/DF to be ‘business critical’.
The hardware architecture together with these business applications is known as the Management Information Framework (MIF). The existing MIF hardware architecture has been in operation since 2005. DOD/DF now wish to procure a new and modern hardware architecture to which it will migrate all of its MIF business applications.
