GMIT Framework for the supply, install and maintenance services of network equipment
Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) would like to establish a framework agreement with a single operator for the supply, installation and maintenance of network equipment, including wireless and IP telephony, for a duration of 4 years. The initial contract will be for 12 months with an option to award further contracts within the 4 year period.
The GMIT network infrastructure consists of an institute-wide switched Ethernet network across four campuses which are networked using leased lines. Each campus has a switched gigabit Ethernet backbone and is based on the end-to-end use of Cisco architecture and technologies. The network consists of approximately 100 active devices (switches, routers, firewalls etc) and it provides the infrastructure for wireless and IP telephony services to the institute.
The range of equipment required under the framework will include, but not limited to, switches, routers and firewalls, etc and all equipment must be capable of integrating with the existing infrastructure. Specific volumes are not known at this stage.
