Framework agreement for the supply of medical gloves
The HSE in partnership with the voluntary hospitals and health care facilities intend to centralise the procurement of gloves by putting a national procurement strategy/contract in place in order to increase buying power and to ensure value for money for the HSE. HSE procurement is managing the award of the contract on behalf of the health service executive, voluntary hospitals and health care facilities and agencies funded by the HSE.
With an annual requirement of approximately 219 million examination gloves and 2.7 million surgeons gloves (quantities based on 2010 usage and for guidance purposes only), the HSE is currently seeking submissions from suitably qualified suppliers for supply of gloves in the following lots:
Lot 1 – latex, exam, powder free, non sterile;
Lot 2 – nitrile, exam, powder free, non sterile;
Lot 3 – latex, exam, powder free, sterile;
Lot 4 – nitrile, exam, powder free, sterile;
Lot 5 – latex, surgeon, powder free, sterile;
Lot 6 – latex free, surgeon, powder free, sterile.
