Full Design Team services for 2 new post-primary schools One Post -primary school located in Mulhuddart and another at a location within a 100 km radius of the first named location each for circa 1 000 pupils or 8 000 m2.The appointments are to include for the development of exemplar designs for two number schools within a limited time period, the copyright of which will transfer to the Department of Education & Skills at stage 1 and 2a.

The services to be provided are set out in the DoES Standard Schedule of Services for Construction Consultants Rev 2 (available at www.education.ie, under Technical Guidance).

Before submitting an expression of interest applicants should refer to the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire DoES-QC1 (Short) and Consultants Pre-qualification Assessment Excel Spreadsheet attached to the eTender advertisement and satisfy themselves that they meet the minimum standards required.

In addition each Senior Architect and Back-up Senior Architect (as described in DoES-QC1 (Short) and Consultants Pre-qualification Assessment Excel Spreadsheet) must have previously worked as Project Architect on the Design Stages of a Post-Primary School (Stages 1 and 2a)and must specify a minimum of one of those projects in Pre-Qualification Assessment Sheet Section 3.4b Personnel for the project page and Pre-Qualification Assessment Sheet Section 3.4b Personnel for the project page 2.

The Contracting Authority reserve the right, if it so wishes, to request any or all applicants to produce the necessary detailed evidence at pre-qualification stage prior to inclusion on the short list for the project.

The successful applicant will be required to produce the necessary detailed evidence before appointment.

To apply for inclusion on the short-list for the project the Applicant must.

(1) complete and sign the questionnaire

(2) complete the Consultants Pre-qualification Assessment Excel Spreadsheet

(3) send in the questionnaire and a print-off of the spreadsheet to the Contracting Authority with a stamped self-addressed A4 envelope before the time and date specified. No other information should be provided.

Note: The envelope must be clearly marked with the name of the Tenderer, the name of the Contract, and the content for example "Tender of ABC Limited for xxx Services for XYZ...Project”.

The Project Category Is Type 3. The estimated total performance period is 48 months.

The Contracting Authority may amend or vary the standard DoES award criteria published @ www.education.ie. The applicable award criteria will be issued with the invitation to tender. Interviews for the Architectural appointments may be held (for the purpose of clarification) at the discretion of the Contracting Authority.

Applicants should note.

— the delivery period for these projects,

— the extent of the services required to be undertaken,

— the fact that both projects are to be carried out simultaneously.

Applicants should note that they will be required to show detailed evidence, at award stage but prior to appointment that the personnel listed have the capacity to undertake the work within the time-scale stated.

The Contracting Authority reserves the right to terminate the Tender competition process at any time. The Contracting Authority also reserves the right to procure the development by alternative means if it appears that the development can be thereby more advantageously procured. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

The funding agency, the Department of Education & Skills is subject to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act. If a candidate considers that any of the information supplied in response to this notice is either commercially sensitive or confidential, this should be highlighted and reasons for its sensitivity given. The relevant material will, in response to a request under the Act, be examined in the light of exemptions provided for in the Act.
