Iarnrod Eireann-Irish Rail

Iarnrod Eireann is seeking to establish a contract for the provision of OHLE (Overhead Line Equipment) services. The services required are to provide a team of competent and experienced OHLE personnel (minimum of 5) suitably equipped to assist IE in carrying out OHLE maintenance and renewal programmes on the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit). The DART is a 1,500Vdc Overhead Line Catenary System with traction return path through the track. It comprises some 45kms of double track, 10kms of single track and necessary stabling sidings in the Dublin area. The total length of contact wire is approximately 130kms.
It is intended at this stage to award a contract for a period of up to 3 years.
Personnel must have experience and knowledge of working on 1500Vdc Overhead Line Systems and fluency in the English language will be required. Technical and managerial supervision will also form part of the scope of services. Iarnrod Eireann reserves the right to award to more than one contractor and contract may be awarded in separate works packages.
