Catering contract

The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified caterers for the provision of catering services at its Head Quarters in 1, Swift Square, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9, IRELAND. Services to be provided will cover both staff catering and hospitality services, such as for meetings and functions on site. The current site has been in operation for 3 years, since NSAI moved to the new building. The catering area is located on the fourth floor of the building and the NSAI occupies the third and fourth floors.
It is intended that the contract will be for 5 years and at full tender stage NSAI will welcome proposals for innovation and investment in the catering facilities.
There are approximately 103 staff on site, of whom about 50 โ€“ 60 % use the on-site catering facility.
The NSAI HQ catering service includes operation of the following services:
โ€” Self service staff restaurant โ€“ 5 days per week.
O core hours: 9:30 to 14:30.
O full lunch from 12:30 to 14:00.
Minimum breakfast/morning snack service required is for a cold/continental breakfast (filled rolls, pastries, cereals, toast, fruit salad, yoghurts etc.). Caterers may wish to offer a hot selection in addition, but this must be cost neutral to the NSAI (i.e. NSAI will not pay for any food wastage etc. from such a service).
Minimum lunch service required is:
โ€” Soup,
โ€” 2 x hot meals (to include appropriate vegetables, potato, rice, pasta etc.) and a daily vegetarian meal option,
โ€” Choice of salads,
โ€” 1 x dessert (hot or cold),
โ€” Selection of rolls & sandwiches,
โ€” Milk,
โ€” Selection of hot & cold beverages,
โ€” Selection of snacks & confectionery,
โ€” Hospitality services, as required, which includes tea/coffee to meeting rooms, sandwich platters, lunches and other functions as required,
โ€” Tea/coffee stations,
โ€” Daily replenishment of tea, coffee, sugar sachets, milk & disposable items to three tea stations,
โ€” NB cleaning of tea stations is carried out separately by a contract cleaner.
