(1) All candidates will be required to produce a certificate or declaration demonstrating that they are not bankrupt or the subject of an administration order, are not being wound-up, have not granted a trust deed, are not the subject of a petition presented for sequestration of their estate, have not had a receiver, manager or administrator appointed and are not otherwise apparently insolvent.

Insurance Brokers must comply with Part IV of Ireland's Assurance Act of 1989, Insurance companies must be authorised by the competent Authority of the Member State from which Insurance is being provided.
If Insurance is being provided on a cross border basis the insurance company must comply with the appropriate provisions of the second non-life Insurance Services Directive implemented in Ireland by S.I. No.142 of 1991 relating to the provision of large risk insurance business.
